Iman Cosmetics has been named the official cosmetic partner for the upcoming film, “About Last Night,” a romantic comedy starring Kevin Hart and Michael Ealy.
Beauty lovers can buy the multicultural beauty brand’s newest products, which are inspired by the movie. Iman’s company is now debuting its “About Last Night” Luxury Moisturizing Lipstick Collection. There are five bold lipstick shades: the orange Hot, deep red Scandalous, plum Taboo, hot pink Flirtatious and dark petal Kinky Pink. Each high-pigmented lipstick has jojoba, shea and coconut oils, along with aloe and vitamin E.
The lipsticks come with accompanying pencils: the tangerine Fire, red Passion, pink-and-purple Fuchsia, purple Midnight and hot Sexy Pink.
The company will run national print and digital ads to get the word out about their newest partnership, explained Iman Cosmetics General Manager, Desiree Reid. “Utlizing entertainment properties like ‘About Last Night’ is part of our marketing strategy to engage our consumers organically by offering relevant value beyond our products,” said Desiree. “This film was a great foray into this space because it celebrates what our fans appreciate: life, dating and being beautiful…”
Iman Cosmetics has also organized advance screenings, drawing more attention to the film and its accompanying collection. Fans can see the movie in New York City on Feb. 3 and Chicago on Feb.12. And the brand also has a sweepstakes for one lucky fan to win an all-expense paid trip to the film’s Los Angeles premiere.
Omerge Alliances, a marketing consultancy leading Iman Cosmetics’ new campaign, hopes the brand will become even more popular. “Our goal is to help Iman achieve visibility and status as the cosmetic brand of choice for women with skin of color internationally through strategic entertainment partnerships such as ‘About Last Night,” said Omerge founder, Olivia Scott-Perkins.
