Handmade Paper Packaging

Creating my own handmade bath line has it’s own set of challenges for the most part. I’m always researching receipes, materials, equipment and packaging. From price comparisons to which suppliers offers the best deals for all my crafting needs. Well, upon me searching for cute packaging for my bath bombs…I came across this AMAZING video on youtube called Soaping 101- which had this cute and ingenious idea to create your packaging for little to nothing. Don’t get me wrong I love saving money, but if I can create something that costs me next to nothing, then I’m on it. Not so much as being cheap, just finding different ways to save extra cash on things is my best bet at the moment.
Besides creating your packing is sooo much fun and it takes no time at all. With a few items I was well on my to creating something fun, easy and inexpensive. Want to see how easy it is to make your very own paper packaging…STAY TUNED!

First off your going to need a few items, nothing fancy.

SUPPLY LIST:
magazine/scrapbook paper
Gluestick/two-sided tape
Ruler
Pencil
Sisscors
Label (optional)

Told you nothing fancy, just a few items that you may have lying around the house. Recycle that old magazine and create some really awesome packaging that’s different, cute, budget friendly and easy to do- so easy, a child can do it. Let’s get started.

1. Fold your page in three’s so it looks like it’s even. You’ll want to create a seam

2. Take the ruler to score the edges down. Glue the sides together even the bottom. The top should be left open.

3. After you have glued the sides and bottom. With ruler trim about an inch off the bottom. (Don’t worry the glue has a pretty good seal to it so you won’t cut it open.)
Once, you’ve done that, add more glue and fold about an inch of the bottom to form a sealed bottom.

4. Your pouch should look like this. With the top open and trimmed.

5. This is your finished product! You can add a label on the front. That wasn’t so hard, now was it? You just created your very own paper pouch packaging. It looks classy and sleek and it didn’t take you all day.
